April 29 – May 10, 2028 | Sacred Valley, Peru | From €2,900 | Max 20 travelers
THE JOURNEY
There are places on this Earth that awaken something ancient in our bones. When we are in their presence, the journey becomes pilgrimage. Peru's Sacred Valley in the Andes is one of these places, held by Ayni, the shamanic cosmovision law of reciprocity:
what is given returns, what is received is honored
For the third time, I am honored to return to guide a retreat in the Andes, carrying wisdom received from my two previous journeys, and yet humbly aware that this land always holds more than we can ever know. And one more time, I am joined by my dear colleague Sandra D. Luz, whose deep connection to the Andean traditions, experience and relationship with this land bring a powerful dimension to our journey.
The journey in two chapters
For the first eight days we go deep: daily yogic and shamanic practices woven from two ancient traditions on opposite sides of the world, each one a mirror for the exploration of the Self. We move through body and spirit, temples and waters, guided by the living wisdom of the Sacred Valley.
Then, we gather in beautiful Cusco, and for those called to go further, the journey continues into an optional ascent into the untouched Ausangate region, at 4,500m. Apu Ausangate is a place of deep reverence, reserved for those ready to walk even closer to the Spirit of the Earth and in the footsteps of the shamans. Here, the mountains themselves are the teachers.
YOUR GUIDES
This journey is held by outstanding teachers and guides.
Dee and Sandra weave together ancient Andean knowledge, yogic practices honoring the sacred elements of nature, ceremony, and plant medicine traditions, all held in spaces designed to be safe and deeply supportive.
Around them stands a wider circle of trusted wisdom keepers, who know this land and its rituals deep in their bones. Together we know how to prepare the body, the spirit, and the mind for receiving the gifts of these sacred mountains.
We have the opportunity to learn directly from Maestro Puma Fredy Quispe Singona, Sandra’s direct teacher for many years, — a lineage-holding Medicine man trained since boyhood by his grandfather, and a global voice for Andean wisdom and reverence for Pachamama. Together with his family, they are the local masters who hold the ceremonial heart of this journey.
YOGA
Our days begin or end with an embodied yoga practice led by Dee — intended to weave the day’s teachings, sacred sites, and shamanic wisdom deep into the fabric of body. Through thematic Vinyasa flows, mantra chanting, breathwork, and meditation, we root the day's medicine into our bones.
SHAMANISM
Guided by Sandra D. Luz and our team of Andean wisdom-keepers that are Sandra’s teachers, we step into the shamanic cosmovision philosophy through ceremonies, healing initiations, ancestral blessings, offerings to Pachamama, and optional plant medicine journeys.
ITINERARY
For the first seven nights of our journey, we will settle into the gorgeous Samadhi Sacred Valley Retreat Centre — our mountain home. From here, we will venture out on guided hikes to some of the Valley’s most revered sacred sites, including the legendary Machu Picchu.
-
Welcome Circle, a ritual of arrival, where we share our intentions, create connection, and clear the path of any obstacles ahead. This sets the tone for the journey we'll walk together. A soft yoga class invites us gently into our bodies. Dinner included. Altitude: 2,800m
-
Morning yoga connects us to the sacred Earth element Wilka Allpa within. We have the morning to connect to our retreat home, Samadhi, surrounded by majestic views! In the afternoon, we learn about Andean Shamanic Cosmovision and join a Despacho Ceremony prepared by our Medicine Woman of the Q'anchis Ylla lineage, connecting us to the land, the ancestral spirits of the Andes, and to ourselves. All meals included.
-
A two-hour trek along the crystal-clear waters of Apu Pumahuanca, to the ancient Chupani temple. In this sacred spot where the Incan Priestesses of the Sun took purification rituals we experience a shamanic ritual honoring the sacred waters, Wilka Unu. We close the day with evening yoga. All meals included. Altitude: 2.792 m
-
Through morning yogic practices, we open to Wilka Wayra, the sacred spirit of wind. At noon, we visit the mysterious Incan terraces of Moray regarded as the womb of Mother Earth, where we receive a seed of the Earthkeeper (Kurak Akuyek initiation) and give thanks to Pachamama. We also visit the picturesque Maras salt mines. All meals included. Altitude: Maras 3.200m / Moray: 3.600m
-
Morning yogic practice connects us with the four sacred Poqpos , our shamanic energy centers, with the intention to open our heartcentre into a more expansive state.
Today offers a rare opportunity: an optional Wachuma ceremony guided by Maestro Puma, held in the spectacular natural setting of Quillarumiyoc. Wachuma, a sacred plant medicine used since Incan times as a pathway to the heart —a ceremony rarely offered with this level of authenticity outside its place of origin.
For those resting at Samadhi retreat: guided pottery, painting, spa, massage, or simple rest: a space to integrate, or to express what moves within. All meals included. Altitude: 3.860m
-
Our morning practice moves us into right relationship with all that is — giving and receiving in sacred balance, the living principle of Ayni breathing through every posture, every breath. Today we soften into integration, into gratitude for all that we have received.
In the afternoon, we gather for a shamanic Cacao Ceremony awakening joy, dancing, singing, playing!
-
Today we journey through the heart of the Sacred Valley, ascending to the Sun Temple at Machu Picchu. Guided by our Q'ero team, we connect with Wilka Nina, the sacred fire of transformation, and learn of Inti, the Sun god who illuminated the Inca path — and the incredible wisdom that lives within Machu Picchu itself. The day is spent immersed in the powerful presence of one of the world's most epic sacred sites.
All meals included. Altitude: 2,430m -
A final yoga class & closing circle to honor the journey we've shared. We checkout from Samadhi Retreat; we visit the vibrant town of Pisac, before arriving in Cusco by evening. Lunch in Pisac & dinner in Cusco on your own.
Altitude: Pisac 2,972m / Cusco 3,400m -
Today is yours! Rest, acclimate to Cusco's altitude, and move at your own pace — wander the cobbled streets, or browse San Pedro Market, Peru's largest art-and-craft market. For those completing the retreat here, checkout is after breakfast.
For those who wish to go further, an optional excursion awaits: Sacsayhuamán, once both a fortress and a sacred center for Inca religion and astronomy, an engineering mystery that still challenges historians today. From there, we enter a sacred cave known as the Womb of Mother Earth, for a rebirth ceremony — a space of deep connection and renewal. Meals are not included today. Altitude: Pisac 2,972m / Cusco 3,400m
AUSANGATE EXTENSION

We arrive in Cusco by late afternoon, where our retreat formally comes to a close. From here, you are free to continue your journey or begin your journey home. Dinner and accommodation on your own.
OUR STAY
For the first seven days, our home is Samadhi Sacred Valley — a sustainable, eco-conscious retreat center embraced by the mighty Andes. Inspired by sacred geometry, Samadhi is designed to resonate with the body’s chakra system. Each room embodies one of the seven energy centers, inviting you into a space alive with color, texture, scent, and art — all carefully curated to awaken your essence.
The yoga shala is world-renowned for its breathtaking mountain views — a space where practice becomes prayer.
Our meals are organic, vegetarian, and lovingly prepared by Samadhi’s gastronomic artists. Using ingredients grown on-site, the dishes are rich in local superfoods like maca, pollen, and honey — crafted to nourish body, mind, and spirit.
At Samadhi, you can choose between single, double or triple occupancy, depending on your budget and preference.
For those joining the optional Ausangate trek, we’ll spend two nights in very simple village lodges, enjoying hearty meals prepared by our local hosts. In Cusco, we will stay in a heritage boutique hotel — a soft landing before our travel adventures.
*For the Ausangate extension, we’ll do our best to maintain the same room arrangements, although this will depend on the availability of local lodgings at the time.
